This D.C. hotel is named for one of Washington's city planners, Pierre Charles L'Enfant, and is just two blocks from the Smithsonian Castle, U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, and the Air and Space Museum.

The L'Enfant Plaza Hotel hosts a Jazz Night Happy Hour with live music each Thursday from 5 PM to 7 PM in the Lobby Lounge. Tapas and more than 50 specialty martinis are available (complimentary admission; surcharge for tapas and drinks). Right off the lobby, down into the lower level of the hotel, is the promenade to the Metro, where four of the five city lines run.
